Rocking R Red Angus

Rocking R Red Angus is a family run Registered Red Angus cattle operation in Western Colorado, established in 2010 by Dan and Katie Reardon. We run cattle at elevation. Our cattle spend the summers on our ranch at the Cochetopa Dome, near Gunnison, Colorado. Elevation on the ranch ranges from 9,100 to 10,000 feet. They spend the winters on our farm ground and home located in Montrose, Colorado. Elevation at our farm is 6,190 feet.

We focus on the maternal side of the cow with our bulls. All of our bulls are PAP tested and must thrive in a high altitude environment.

Our females must be efficient, fertile, and highly functional in a very rough environment. Our females must raise a great calf and get bred back in a harsh environment at elevations between 9,100 and 10,000 feet.
